Located in the main Lower School building, the Lower School Media Center serves students in grades 1 through 4. Students come to the Lower School Media Center once a week for a regularly scheduled library period. During this time, the media specialist conducts enrichment activities like story readings and book talks. We also use this time to demonstrate use of the automated card catalog and other information literacy skills. Students can learn about new books, revisit old favorites, and share ideas with others. Parents are encouraged to check out items to share with their children at home.
The adjoining Discovery Center is where students engage in hands-on activities and small group work or view presentations by students or speakers. Throughout all grades, students find the tools to help them read and discover the world in which we live.
