Homecoming, Reunions & Upcoming Events

Homecoming/Alumni Weekend

This year, Homecoming Weekend kicks off with the Homecoming Parade at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 27. That evening, the Alumni Association hosts a reception beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the Farmer Field House during the first half of the varsity football game against Oglethorpe County High School. Alumni and their families join current and former faculty and staff to reconnect and visit.

Alumni Class Awards are presented at halftime during the football game. Many class reunions gather during this Homecoming weekend, and campus tours are available as well!

Class Reunions & Gatherings

Class Reunions are held at five-year intervals.  Reunion planners are encouraged to consider holding their reunion in conjunction with the Alumni Weekend.  A reunion committee consisting of several classmates will be organized to plan the event.  Although unable to be in charge of each reunion, the Alumni Office will serve in an advisory capacity. For more information or to volunteer to help with a reunion, contact the Alumni Office by phone at 706-433-2406.

Alumni Gatherings are held throughout the year in various locations around the United States.  We have recently enjoyed gatherings in such places as Texas, New York, Massachusetts, Washington, D.C., Virginia, Maryland, Tennessee, and Georgia.
